Dolphin Washes Ashore in La Jolla

A dolphin died on the shores of La Jolla Monday afternoon, lifeguards said.

Just before 3 p.m., the dolphin beached itself near Marine St.

The 8-foot dolphin was still alive when lifeguards spotted it, but had died shortly after.
