Lakeside firefighters and the San Diego Sheriff's Department rescued a hiker who collapsed on a Poway trail Saturday, Lakeside Fire confirmed.
Victor Parra, 47, went hiking with friends Saturday morning on the Blue Sky Canyon Trail when he collapsed just before noon.
Medics performing CPR and Parra was hoisted into a helicopter by the Lakeside and Barona fire departments near the three-mile marker.
He was transported to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa where he was pronounced dead.
