Heartland fire crews responded to the home on Del Sol Road in Lakeside around 4:20 a.m.

Lakeside Family Escapes House Fire

The homeowners stood outside and watched firefighters get the fire under control.

A two-alarm house fire forced a family up and out in the middle of the night and injured at least one firefighter.

Heartland fire crews responded to the home on Del Sol Road in Lakeside around 4:20 a.m. Thursday.

Firefighters quickly got a handle on the fire and knocked it down in about 20 minutes.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries during the incident.

The family living in the home was able to get out safely.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and Heartland fire has called the sheriff's bomb/arson team to the scene to help with the investigation.
