DUI Arrests During Labor Day

CHP statistics show a small decrease in Labor Day weekend DUI arrests around San Diego County

The California Highway Patrol reports that as of Monday night, there have been 69 DUI arrests across San Diego County during the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The CHP released a report breaking down Labor Day weekend DUI statistics in San Diego and compared the stats to last year's holiday weekend.

According to the report, there were a total of 69 DUI arrests in San Diego County from 6:01 p.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Monday, a decrease from last year’s figures.

By this time last year during Labor Day weekend, there were 91 DUI arrests in San Diego, the report confirmed.

CHP said there have been two fatalities this weekend stemming from local DUI-related incidents.

Across California the CHP report said there have been a total of 1,363 holiday weekend DUI arrests thus far.

Last year, the holiday weekend stat at this point tracked 1,531 DUI arrests statewide.

Compared to Orange County, San Diego had slightly fewer DUI arrests.
