Juvenile faces 180 counts of vandalism, deputies say

A Vista juvenile faces 180 counts of vandalism after deputies arrested him for allegedly tagging several locations around the area.

City officials estimate that the juvenile caused about $85,000 in damage, according to a statement from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The young man was arrested Wednesday morning on a street in Vista after an investigation into graffiti vandalism in the City of Vista.

Deputies served a search warrant at the juvenile's home, but he wasn't there. When they found him, he had several items of graffiti paraphernalia and graffiti implements.

Deputies did not describe the nature of the tags, nor where they were located.

The young man was booked into juvenile hall for his charges.
