Some kids in South Bay are going to be a lot happier when they get back from a field trip.
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego started to build a new playground in National City, with a goal of getting it all done in one day. The Home Depot and Kaboom! teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club on the project and are assuming most of the cost.
Volunteers at the project in the 1400 block of D Avenue said they couldn't wait to see the kids' faces later on Thursday when return later on Thursday.
