San Diego State went to Idaho and grabbed the biggest win in program history, taking down the #19 Broncos.
You had a feeling it would be a special night when Colin Lockett returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown, his 2nd kick return TD of the season.
However, the SDSU offense only managed 96 yards of offense in the first half, so Boise State led 13-7 at halftime.
The Aztecs defense played a tremendous game, keeping SDSU close, and in the 3rd quarter, they got another huge special teams play. Dwayne Garrett blocked a punt, the Aztecs would set up shop first and goal at the 8. A couple plays later, Adam Muema pounded in for a 4-yard score. Muema had 127 yards on the ground, the Aztecs went up 14-13.
Late in the 4th quarter, they led 21-19. With just under two minutes to play, SDSU was facing a 4th and 2 at the Broncos 35 yard line. Boise State was out of time outs, so Rocky Long had a decision to make. Punt and try to pin the Broncos deep, then rely on your defense. Or, go for it and risk giving BSU a shorter field.

Muema left no doubt, exploding 13 yards right up the middle of the Broncos defense. Aztecs win 21-19, their first win over a ranked opponent since 1996.
