The California Highway Patrol  reopened northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Harbor Drive in National City about an hour after closing them Friday due to low-hanging power lines.

An image captured by a Caltrans camera just south of SR-15 shows a parking lot of vehicles not moving just after 11 a.m.

According to the CHP incident page, all southbound traffic is being diverted off the highway at Civic Center Drive and all northbound traffic is being diverted to eastbound Highway 54.

The initial cause was listed as powerlines hanging low over the highway.
