What a difference a day makes. Monday the Padres bats were silent. Tuesday they laid the lumber at PETCO Park.

Trailing 1-0 in the second with one on and one out Yonder Alonzo homered to left. His first of the year at PETCO made it 2-1 Padres. The hits kept coming. Cameron Maybin added three and drove in two. Every Padre position player had a hit except Will Venable, who drew two walks.

Despite a hefty 5+ ERA starting pitcher Ross Ohlendorf got the win and remains undefeated as a Padre (3-0). Game three of the four game series is set for Wednesday afternoon. First pitch is at 3:35 PDT.
