Police Investigate Death of 3-Month-Old Baby

San Diego Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 3-month-old baby in Logan Heights.

According to SDPD officials, officers responded to a call of an infant in medical distress in the 1000 block of South 30th Street on Friday at around 8:20 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman holding an unconscious 3-month-old baby girl in her arms.

Despite lifesaving CPR efforts on the baby by responding officers and then paramedics, police say the infant died at the scene a short time later.
