A Rancho Penasquitos family got a strange surprise Wednesday morning when they found their car covered in sticky notes.
The family wasn't sure if it was a personal attack or was simply neighborhood kids playing around.
"It's scary because you don't know if you're personally targeted, so it makes us feel very uncomfortable," the car's owner said.
The family, who did not want their faces shown on camera, were very alarmed when they saw their Volkswagen.
"We came out of the house and found on the car a couple hundred stickers saying, 'Pigs,' 'Oink' and 'Jesus loves you,' " the man said. "We're Jewish and we feel like it might be a hate crime."
The family said they've lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and have had no other problems.
