A new exhibit teaching passengers about the expansion of Terminal 2 opened up in Lindbergh Field Wednesday morning.

Visitors can now view the Green Build Discovery Center -- which will teach travelers about the terminal construction project and its sustainable features.

The Center's exhibits are comprised of special inks, biodegradable materials and recycled paper products.

The Green Build is a $1 billion construction project that will add 10 new gates, a dual-level roadway, a concessions core and additional security lanes to Terminal 2. The San Diego County Airport Authority is hoping to obtain LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council to complete the project.
