San Diego police are still trying to track down a suspect who attacked a young girl on Friday morning.
The girl was on her way to classes at Hoover High on Friday morning, walking from her nearby home, when a man approached her near Rosa Parks Elementary School, which is located in the 4500 block of Landis Street in the neighborhood of City Heights. Police said the man approached her from behind and touched her in a sexual manner.
The suspect is a Latino man in his 40s who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, the girl told police. He has a medium build and was wearing all white clothing, according to investigators.
Officers from SDPD and school police are investigating the incident.
