General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Receives $28.3M Air Force Contract

The U.S. Air Force recently awarded General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. a $28.3 million contract to implement the first phase of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program.

Under the deal, GA-ASI will manage the structural integrity of the Air Force’s MQ-9 Reaper aircraft fleet throughout the aircraft life cycle. Work under the recently awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract will be conducted on the GA-ASI site in Poway and last through September 2016.

The builder calls the aircraft by the name Predator B.
