Construction crews ruptured a natural gas line in a vacated Chevy's restaurant in Mission Valley Monday afternoon.

The line broke during demo work in the building on 1202 Camino del Rio North just before 3 p.m. Monday, according to the San Diego Fire Department.

The gas line was blowing when crews arrived, but no evacuations were ordered as of 3 p.m.

The restaurant where the gas line was ruptured is no longer in business.
