Gas Leak Controlled in Valencia Park

A ruptured gas line on the 500 block of Los Angeles Pl. Thursday morning was controlled.

Homes and streets in the Valencia Park neighborhood were evacuated. The neighborhood is east of Euclid Ave. and South of the 94 Freeway.

The leak was caused at about 9 a.m. Thursday by a city crew, that dug into the gas line. By 10 a.m., workers had fixed

The San Diego Fire and Police Departments responded and assisted SDG&E. The company is now making repairs to the line.
