Police are still looking for a man who allegedly issued a gang challenge to another man in Golden Hill Monday morning.

The gang challenge resulted in several fired shots – one of which wounded the victim as he was running away from the suspect on 2700 Broadway Ave at about 6:30 Monday, according to a watch commander from the San Diego Police Department.

Police said the 20-year-old suspect attempted to fire a gun at the 23-year-old victim’s face. The suspect misfired, sending shots into the air. The victim was hit once in the hand, but the wound is not life-threatening.

The suspect was about 5’6’’ and 140 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a black t-shirt, denim shorts and black shoes.
