Firefighters responded to the report of a fuel spill at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field Tuesday morning.

The spill was reported at Gate 29 just before 6 a.m. but San Diego Fire Rescue crews said the source of the leak wasn’t immediately known.

The spill was approximately 50-feet long and 10-feet wide officials said.

About an hour later, officials confirmed the fuel had spilled from an airplane. No other details were released.

Officials said it didn’t appear to be affecting flights or airport operations.
