A 19-year-old woman who told her parents she was attending the Coachella Music Festival has been found safe in Texas, police said Thursday.
Andrea Adame hitchhiked her way across the southwest, before police found her at a beverage distribution warehouse in Waco, Texas, said Fontana Sgt. Billy Green. Police were alerted to her location after the Fontana woman called a friend, who relayed her location to authorities.
It's unclear why the Cal State San Bernardino student fabricated the story, Green said.
Adame's parents are now working to return the woman home, Green said.
