The National Weather service issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of East County Sunday afternoon.

Slow-moving thunderstorms are expected to produce a quick one to two inches of rain near Banner and Shelter Valley according to the NWS.

As of 4:30 p.m., Mount Laguna was receiving strong rainfall.

Salt Creek and Agua Caliente Springs will receive flash flooding from the runoff the NWS warned.

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warning area, move to higher ground immediately.

The warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m. PDT.
