Firefighter Raped Fiancee: Police

Chula Vista Fire Department engineer William Robert Bolduc, 54, is accused of raping his fiancee while she was under the influence of a controlled substance, sexual penetration with a foreign object and concealing a camera with an intent to invade privacy.

Authorities said the woman told them she had been anesthetized for the surgery in December at an office in Bonsall.

According to Murrieta police, the woman said Bolduc took her home afterward and helped her into bed.  She told them she heard noises that were similar to those made by a cell phone camera and that he then assaulted her.

Investigators said they later located a cell phone Bolduc allegedly returned to the Best Buy in Menifee that had photos of the victim on her way home from her oral surgeon's office, as well as other, graphic images of her.

Bolduc pleaded not guilty on Friday and was released after posting bail.

Chula Vista Fire Chief Dave Hanneman said Bolduc is an 18-year veteran with the department.  He is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of this case.

Bolduc lived in a home near Murrieta for several years, according to neighbors.  But they also said he recently moved out.

"About a month ago, we seen him in a motor home with an older lady and they said they were moving to Idaho,"said next door neighbor Mistie Schoeder.  She hasn't seen him since.

It's unclear where Bolduc is living but he is due back in a Riverside County courtroom on April 16.
