Crews were at the scene of a fire inside a market in El Cajon Friday afternoon, the Heartland Fire Department confirmed.
The fire began at approximately 3:27 p.m. inside a meat market that is under construction on the 1400 block of E Main Street just south of Interstate 8.
The fire started in an aisle and then spread to the attic of the building. The market has been open while under construction so there were employees inside.
They did evacuate the building and there were no injuries.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire.
No other information was immediately available.
