Fire investigators are looking into an early morning fire that destroyed part of an apartment building on Tuesday.
Firefighters said the call came at 9:20 a.m. When firefighters arrived, police had already escorted three residents to safety.
The second-story home in the 1700-block of 2nd Ave. is separated into five or more separate apartments. Investigators said the fire completely destroyed the front units.
According to investigators, the older building was extremely flammable.
The fire was contained to the one structure and it took about 20 minutes to contain.
There were no injuries related to the fire.
