Fire damaged homes in Ocean Beach, Chula Vista and Santa Ysabel

Fire caused by a floor heater damaged a home in Ocean Beach Wednesday morning, forcing the residents to evacuate.

Firefighters responded to the home on Poinsettia Drive just before 6 a.m. and found smoke and fire.

No one was injured. Residents of the home were evacuated.

Firefighters said the cause of the fire was furniture placed over a floor heater.

In Chula Vista, seven adults were left without a place to stay after fire damaged a tw-story home.

Flames broke out around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 600-block of Myra Avenue.

No one was injured. The fire is currently under investigation.

In Santa Ysabel, fire damaged a home located behind "The Hideout Saloon" around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Cal Fire responded to the fire. The home was fully involved in flames.

Firefighters requested San Diego Sheriff's Bomb/Arson team to investigate this fire.
