Investigators believe an early morning fire at an apartment complex in City Heights was intentionally set.

The fire started at the corner of Polk Ave and 37th streets around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Dozens of residents evacuated from the two-story apartment complex after fire was spotted in the building’s laundry room.

Two units were damaged according to San Diego Fire and Rescue.
