Raul Licon suspended without pay after his arrest Thursday

A Barona fire captain arrested on suspicion of molesting a child is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.

Raul Licon was arrested March 1 in San Marcos and booked into jail just after noon that day, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Licon is charged with several counts of molestation, including oral copulation with a person under the age of 18, sodomy with a person under the age of 18, and lewd and lascivious acts with a child.

Licon plead not guilty to six charges on Thursday.

He posted bail the night of his arrest at $250,000.

"We are very concerned with these allegations against Licon, and take these charges very seriously," the spokesperson said.
