Fire Near Santee Lakes Contained

    San Diego Fire and Rescue responded to the call of a brush fire near Santee Lakes around 11:20 a.m. Friday.

    Two helicopters arrived to the 9300 block of Fanita Parkway near the Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.

    Firefighters said around two to three acres burned. They had the fire out as of 12:38 p.m.

    Heartland Fire Department was called in to assist.

    No injuries or damage was reported.
