A house in Oceanside caught fire early morning on Saturday, according to officials.
At 5:27 a.m. on Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm that led them to an Oceanside residence on Shenandoah Drive.
There was heavy smoke and fire coming out of the house when the fire crew arrived. A second alarm was called for additional help in containing the flames and providing protection to adjacent residences.
After trying to fight the fire from inside, fire crews had to pull back and attack the blazing flames from outside.
The flames were extinguished without damages to surrounding areas.
No firefighters were injured during the ordeal. One resident was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital.
The reason of the fire is still unknown, but it is believed to have started in one of the bedrooms.
Damages to the home have not been estimated yet.
