Family members of a Korean War veteran who died as a POW in 1951 finally witnessed his remains coming home Thursday.

There was a ceremonial homecoming for Corporal Eugene "Mackie" Morelli, at Lindbergh Field.

Family members have been trying to locate his remains for years, but they were not recovered until now.

Corporal Morelli's family members have planned final internment for Saturday at Bloomdale Cemetery in Ramona.
