Surveillance video exclusively obtained by NBC San Diego shows a suspected burglar driving a car you wouldn't usually expect a burglar to drive.
The video was taken on Friday, May 11, in the parking lot of the Boys and Girls club in Clairemont.
In the video you can see a silver convertible BMW six series creeping through the parking lot. It then reverses into a parking space that is obstructed by a dumpster.
Witnesses a man gets out of the BMW and uses something to shattered the window of a parked car.
He then grabs a purse and drives off in the BMW.
"And within 15 minutes of the car being broken into her credit card was being used at a gas station,"said Tammy Anderson.
She owns Aquapros swim school which operates at the Boys and Girls club.

Sarah Harvey, who works at a gym in Mission Valley, believes the same suspect drove that car to her workplace a few months ago.
She witnessed a man get out of the car and break into another car before quickly driving away.
"I was confused as to why a guy in a nice car was stealing from other peoples cars,"said Harvey.
A San Diego Police detective said it was too early to tell if the BMW is the same one being used in a series of car burglaries at gyms all round the city.
