Escondido Apartment Damaged in Fire

Firefighters were called to the unit on E. Mission Avenue just before 2 p.m.

Firefighters battled an apartment fire in Escondido on Christmas Day.

Crews were called to the unit on E. Mission Avenue just before 2 p.m. Sunday.

Only one unit was on fire although surrounding units were evacuated officials said.

There were no reports of any injuries.
