Driver Falls from Moving Car in La Mesa

Emergency crews examine the woman who appeared to have abrasions on her left arm.

A woman was hospitalized after falling out of the car she was driving along a La Mesa street.

Witnesses called 911 after they reported seeing the woman fall from the vehicle and skid along State Route 94 near Spring Street around 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police are now investigating whether the woman jumped from her vehicle after a mechanical failure.
