Driver Arrested After Chase in Chula Vista

U.S. Border Patrol agents tried to pull the driver when he was spotted on Otay Mesa Road

A driver, said to be street racing, led officials on a wild high-speed chase in the South Bay overnight police said.

U.S. Border Patrol agents tried to pull the driver of an Acura Integra when he was spotted racing other cars on Otay Mesa Road.

Agents said the man drove off at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit ended on Mazagon Lane in Chula Vista when the agent's vehicle was able to box in the driver.

The man behind the wheel and his passenger surrendered.

The driver was arrested for felony charges of evading arrest officials said. The passenger was released with no charges.
