Troubling information comes to light about a driver involved in a horrible freeway accident that seriously injured a pair of freeway workers.

The driver of the car involved is Vickie Traylor, 50, of San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol. Court records show that Traylor has a history of at least four criminal complaints involving drug use and distribution. At this point, there is no evidence to show alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident, however.

Traylor told investigators that she was "looking for change" in the console of her white Infiniti while traveling on Interstate 15 north of  state Route 94 when she lost control of her car, sideswiped a Caltrans van and hit the two people.

The workers were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Traylor suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.
