Caught on Camera: 5 Men Attack 1 Near Tattoo Parlor

San Diego police said at least five men beat a victim with a baseball bat on Broadway in downtown San Diego on Nov. 15

The release of surveillance images has sparked a search for at least five men accused of attacking a man outside a downtown San Diego tattoo shop, brutally beating him with a baseball bat.

The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) released photographs and information Thursday in connection with the Gaslamp assault that left the victim with major head injuries.

According to investigators, a group of five men attacked a victim outside Off the Wall Tattoos located at 439 Broadway on Nov. 15, just before 1:30 a.m.

A surveillance camera captured the street fight. Photographs show the suspects confronting the victims in the late hours of the night. For now, the identities of the suspects are unknown.

SDPD detectives are asking anyone who knows any of these men to come forward with information. Witnesses who may have seen the altercation are also urged to call police at (619) 531-2000 or (619) 744-9525. Tipsters can also give investigators details via Crime Stoppers by calling (888) 580-8477.

Suspect descriptions are limited, but police believe the attackers were four Native American men and one African American man. Some of them were wearing jeans and button-down shirts, as seen in the surveillance images. The victim’s name was not released.
