Disney Cruise Ship Wonder Visits San Diego

Disney's “Wonder” will visit San Diego four times between now and October 14

San Diegans saw a new cruise ship enter the harbor Friday morning.

The 2,700-passenger Disney Cruise Line’s “Wonder” stopped in San Diego Harbor for the first time early Friday.

The ship is traveling along the California Coast on a new seven-night itinerary with a Pixar animation theme.

A tug boat showered the ship with water as it made its way through the harbor to the cruise ship terminal along the Embarcadero before 7 a.m.

To help kick off the visit, San Diego State University’s marching band will play for guests as they disembark.

“Wonder” will visit San Diego four times between now and October 14 stopping also in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Ensenada, Mexico.

Following the California Coast cruises, the Disney Wonder will sail a 14-night itinerary to Hawaii, then return to California for six Mexican Riviera cruises, before repositioning to sail from Miami for the first time in December.
