Deputies Searching for Two Suspects After Short Pursuit

A short car chase ends in an arrest in Encanto

San Diego sheriff's deputies are searching for two suspects, after a short pursuit through the streets of Lemon Grove.

Deputies received a call at 9:45 a.m. Friday, about a suspected burglary at a home on Sonoma Lane. When deputies arrived three suspects were driving away.

The suspects refused attempts by the deputies to pull them over.

After a short pursuit, deputies were able to arrest one person when the suspect's vehicle crashed in Encanto.

Tanesha Watson was home when the crash happened just outside her gate. The family just moved into the neighborhood two months ago and now the fence that was surrounding their backyard has been knocked down.

“We can’t even bring our dogs out,” she said.

San Diego County sheriff’s deputies called for backup from San Diego police and California Highway Patrol officers.

“From what’s in this vehicle, it looks like they had done some shopping in somebody else’s house,” said Sgt. Peggy Frailey.

One suspect was caught near the trolley tracks. Two other suspects are still at large.
