Deputies Search for Possible Rape Suspect
Police said the alleged incident occurred inside a bathroom at a La Mesa park.

Sheriff's deputies are searching for an assault suspect after a 50-year-old woman claimed she was raped and beat up, according to officials.
Police received the call of the possible assault around 2 p.m. at Briercrest Park in La Mesa. A female victim was transported to a nearby hospital.
The 50-year-old victim was found inside a women's bathroom at the park with wounds on her face, according to officials. She was intoxicated when a passerby discovered her.
Authorities are waiting to question the victim until she is in a better state of mind. They have stopped searching for a suspect since there is no description or account of what happened.
