Deputies May Have Nabbed This Man

They think they arrested the so-called “Drywaller Bandit” during another heist

A man believed to be the so-called “Drywaller Bandit” has been arrested, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Dept.

A suspect wearing a dust mask and armed with a pistol robbed a Chase Bank branch office in the 100 block of North El Camino Real in Encinitas shortly before 9.30 a.m. Thursday, deputies said.

He was captured after leaving the bank.

Investigators believe he is the same suspect wanted in a five-month spree of armed North County bank robberies due to the type of mask he wore.

The arrestee's name was not immediately available.
