Deputies Investigating Hallucinating Teens Find Shot Boy: Poway

Incident happened Friday evening in the 14800 block of Midland Road

Sheriff's deputies called to assist the fire department with a group of hallucinating drug users discovered a teenage boy with a gunshot wound Friday evening, according to San Diego County Sheriff's officials.

Poway deputies were called to the 14800 block of Midland Road at about 6:15 p.m. to assist with male juveniles who had used some type of drug and were possibly hallucinating, according to Sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit.

While they were en route to the scene deputies received a report that one of the teens had been shot, Nesbit said.

The boy was later transported to an area hospital.

The juvenile’s name, age and current condition were not immediately available.
