Dad Crashes Car Trying to Help Choking Child

CHP said the child was choking on candy when dad lost control of the vehicle

    A father who was driving noticed his child choking in the backseat lost control of his car off SR-94 Saturday.

    A father trying to help his choking child while driving lost control of his car and crashed off the side of State Route 94 Saturday.

    According to CHP, the accident happened in Chollas View.

    The father noticed his child choking on candy in the backseat of the car and tried to help him from the driver’s seat.

    Authorities said that’s when the dad lost control of his car and wound up going through a guard rail and down an embankment.

    CHP said the father and child sustained minor injuries, but are expected to be alright.

    No others car were involved in the collision and nobody else was injured.
