Customer, Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

The armed suspect can be heard shouting on surveillance video

The clerk at a San Diego gas station was scanning an item at the check-out, when a man armed with a gun runs inside.

This, according to the clerk working at the AM/PM on Turquoise Street in Pacific Beach. The robbery, under investigation by San Diego police, occurred just after 2 a.m. Friday.

The clerk told NBC 7 the customer was scared and made a dash for it.

The suspect then yelled, "Stay here, or I'll shoot!"

The clerk said, still, the customer continued to run out of the store.

Then, the clerk said the suspect pointed a gun at his face and shouted, "Give me everything." The clerk gave him the cash register, and the suspect ran out with it immediately.

The clerk told NBC 7 the suspect was approximately five feet seven inches tall, and was wearing all dark clothing.

San Diego Police Department's Robbery Unit is investigating the armed robbery.
