Cricket Wireless no longer has to say no.

For a long time, Cricket had to turn away customers looking for an iPhone. Not anymore.

The San Diego-based cell phone carrier offers month-to-month, no contract deals to customers. The service included popular Android smart phones but not iPhones.

Now customers in San Diego can sign up for Cricket service with an iPhone 4, 4S and iPhone 5.

"No credit check, no deposit is necessary," said Cricket General Sales Manager Richard Marks, "so you can come to Cricket and pay almost half as much as our competitors."

Cricket offers a $55 monthly fee for the iPhone unlimited service. But to use the service you must buy the iPhone at full price from Cricket.

There is no discount on the phone for a long term contract. The phone sell for $400 for the iPhone 4 with the first month free.

The iPhone 4S is $500 with the first month free while the iPhone 5 is $500 with no free month. Cricket officials say they expect 8 percent to 10 percent of their customers to purchase the Apple phones.
