3 UPS Workers Nauseous From Box: SDPD

Three UPS workers were transported to the hospital from a store in Sorrento Mesa Friday morning after inhaling what may have been hazardous materials.

UPS workers called the San Diego Fire Department at about 6:30 a.m. to report the situation at the UPS store on Carroll Rd., according to a department spokesperson.

The workers told authorities they opened a box and began to feel nauseated. Police believe some substances in different boxes may have accidentally come into contact with each other.

The three workers were transported to the hospital. They have minor injuries, police said.
