Crews rushed to Santee Friday afternoon to battle a fire.
The blaze began around 3:40 p.m. in the 10500 block of Prospect Avenue near an industrial complex.
Heartland Fire Dispatch officials said fire began in a lot near Gillespie Field. A lot of smoke could be seen stemming from the area.
No injuries were immediately reported. Within about an hour, crews had a handle on the fire.
