A Coronado High School student died when the truck he was riding in crashed into a tree in Coronado.

Dylan Bunker, 17, died from injuries he sustained when the truck lost control just before 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Glorietta Boulevard.

On Bunker's Facebook page, a message was posted around 8 a.m. Wednesday reading: "This is Dylan's mom he loves his friends very much...........I will let everyone know when we will be saying "see you soon"............ his beautiful soul has touched so many."

It is unclear what caused the accident but an investigation is still underway.

Two other males were taken to the hospital to be treated according to Coronado police. One was released but the second was hospitalized for observation.

Glorietta Boulevard was closed overnight and reopened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The Coronado Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact (619) 522-7350.
