A four car accident involving two families and a baby shut down State Route 78 in Oceanside early Thursday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called around 12:45 a.m. for reports of four cars blocking lanes on easbound SR-78 near Sycamore Avenue.
One car was overturned when officers arrived on scene.
A woman with a young infant was involved in the crash but the baby appeared to be unharmed.
CHP officers did shut down SR-78 for a while to get the cars out of the road.
