San Diego is one of two cities to receive access to Cox Cable’s MyPrimeTime service.
On its on-demand channel, Cox Communications offers access to top shows from networks like NBC, ABC and cable networks FX, TNT and A&E within 12 hours after they’ve run at their regular time.
The difference between this service and simply using TIVO or a DVR, is that MyPrimetime shows the programs with fast-forwarding disabled.
Cox is aiming to provide a lineup of 100 shows per week from more than 20 networks starting in October.
San Diego and Las Vegas join areas already offering the service, like Orange County and Santa Barbara.
