Police arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with a series of burglaries in the east portion of the Coronado Village.

According to Coronado Police detectives, suspect Jasen Elliot Harris, 35, was taken into custody for possession of stolen property after detectives and SDPD SWAT officials conducted a search warrant.

Detectives said a tip from a Coronado resident led police to Harris.

The resident noticed Harris exit a vehicle and enter a neighbor’s backyard, and realized the suspect was not someone he’d ever seen in the neighborhood. The resident thought the activity was suspicious, wrote down the license plate of the vehicle and reported it to police.

From there, officials tracked down Harris. Detectives said Harris will be booked into jail and additional criminal charges may be pending.
