The Coronado Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect who attempted to lure a 7-year old girl into his vehicle on Grand Caribe Causeway near Coronado Cays Blvd.

A man walked up to the girl Thursday between 2:35 -2:45 p.m. and told her to come to his car, police said.

The girl ran into Coronado Cays Park to get away.

The man got into his vehicle, a gray medium-sized vehicle with dark windows, and drove off in an unknown direction. He was described as wearing a gray zipper jacket, black shirt, black pants and black boots. Police report the man was also wearing a bag over his head with holes cut for his eyes.

The Coronado Police Department is asking anyone who may have seen the suspect or suspect vehicle to contact (619) 522-7350.
